Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Bloomin Learning Private Limited collects when you use BLOOM APPSC (com.bloomappsc.app), bloomappsc.com and learn.bloomappsc.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell it, and you can delete it.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email, and profile picture, as shared by Google when you sign in; and which exam you tell us you're preparing for.
• Planner downloads: your email address and mobile number, when you type them in to download a free planner from bloomappsc.com, and which planner you downloaded. You do not need an account for this.
• Study data: reading progress, bookmarks, practice answers and confidence declarations — this is what powers resume, review queues, and your calibration.
• Payments: handled entirely by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of a payment (your email, the amount, a payment ID) — never your card, UPI, or banking details.
• Technical and usage information: operating-system/version information, sign-in events, lesson opens and completions, reading duration, downloads and screen views. Signed-in learning activity is associated with your account and used for service operation and usage analytics.

How we use it

• To unlock what you've purchased and keep it unlocked across devices.
• To sync your progress and make lessons and pages you've opened available offline on your device.
• To respond when you write to us, and to send service messages (a purchase confirmation, a refund confirmation).
• If you gave us your email and mobile number to download a planner: to send you APPSC preparation updates from BLOOM by email and WhatsApp. We use that number for nothing else. To stop, reply "stop" to any of our emails or WhatsApp messages, or write to founder@bloomappsc.com. We stop within seven days, and on request we delete the email and number too.
• Pages you read are watermarked with your account email — a visible protection on the material itself.

Where it lives

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting) — and moves over encrypted connections. Google provides sign-in. Razorpay processes payments. Our email provider sends emails, and Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform carries WhatsApp messages. These processors receive only what their function requires.

Optional writing tools and device permissions

DOJO writing and selected practice images are stored on your device in the current Android edition. Its online PRISM evaluation service is not enabled. Camera/photo access is optional and used when you choose to capture or select an answer. You can change permissions in device settings. APPSC Android does not request microphone access.

Google ML Kit recognizes text on the device. The recognition input and result are not sent to Google by that on-device recognizer. ML Kit does send technical information to Google, including app/device details, installation identifiers, feature-use events, performance and error information, for diagnostics and usage analytics. Service providers may process connection information such as IP addresses and may process data outside India. Google handles your Google password; do not send it to BLOOM. Supported iOS editions may also use Sign in with Apple.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We do not send marketing on behalf of third parties.
• We do not read more from your Google account than name, email, and picture.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage for your session (so you stay signed in) and for the offline cache (so lessons and pages you've opened replay without a network). No third-party advertising cookies. Our website also measures visits, navigation and resource downloads using a random browser identifier held in local storage, page paths, referring-site origin and device category. This first-party measurement respects the browser’s Do Not Track signal. After you download a planner, the website keeps the time of that download in your browser, so it does not ask for your details again for the next 30 minutes; your email and number are not stored in the browser. Our website also uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors find and use it. Clarity records how pages are scrolled and tapped, and hides what you type into forms. Microsoft and Google process this data under their own privacy statements: Microsoft and Google. Browser settings let you clear site storage. Hosting and font-delivery providers receive the connection information needed to serve pages.

Your rights

• Delete: Use Profile → Manage account → Delete account in the Android app, or follow the account-deletion instructions to request deletion without the app. We complete verified requests within seven days. Deletion of a BLOOM account does not delete your Google account.
• Access/correct: write to us and we'll share or fix what we hold about you.

Retention

We keep account and associated learning records while your account is active. On a verified deletion request, we remove your learning account and associated study records from our active systems. Necessary purchase/accounting information, which can include your name, email and payment references, is retained for the current and eight immediately preceding financial years, and longer only for a specific legal hold. It is not kept as a learning profile.

Managed database backups use a seven-day rotating window. Backups are separate from active records and do not include uploaded storage objects. Our account-deletion page explains device storage and retained records. Independent providers, including Google and payment providers, apply their own security and legally required retention; you can contact us about information processed on our behalf. Deleting a BLOOM account does not itself request a refund or cancel separately managed billing.

Adults only

BLOOM APPSC is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
