Thirteen claims about APPSC Group 1 and Group 2 are circulating in 2026 that the commission's own documents do not support, from a Group 2 interview that does not exist to vacancy figures superseded on 22 August 2026. Each one below is paired with the notification paragraph, result notice or government order that settles it. When a newer document appears, it overrides this page, and we say so the same day.

The government order of 22 August 2026 sanctioned 149 APPSC Group 1 posts for notification on 15 September 2026 and 673 Group 2 posts for 15 October 2026. Websites still printing 91 Group 1 posts, 750 Group 2 posts, a 15 August or 15 September date, or a Group 2 exam on 28 November are quoting the earlier job calendar or guessing. No Group 2 exam date exists yet.

APPSC Group 2 has no interview, the Group 1 Mains is 750 written marks plus a 75-mark interview and not 1,050, and both exams are bilingual on the same sheet under notifications 11/2023 and 12/2023. Each of those three is contradicted somewhere online in 2026, usually on pages that were last edited for a different cycle.

The APPSC Group 1 court case that reached a special investigation team in August 2026 belongs to the 2018 cycle, notification 27/2018, not the 2024 Mains; the 2023 cycle produced a final list on 30 January 2026 with 87 selected. The Group 1 final result did not come on 31 January 2025, and APPSC has not published category cut-offs since 2019.

APPSC itself has called out two waves of fakes since 2025: a web note on 22 February 2025 claiming the next day's Group 2 Mains was postponed, which the commission said was false and referred for prosecution, and recruitment schedules shared on WhatsApp and Facebook in 2026, answered by a web note of 9 January 2026 telling candidates to rely only on psc.ap.gov.in.

The APPSC Deputy Tahsildar scale of 28,940 to 78,910 printed on most coaching sites is the 2015 pay revision; the 2022 revision in notification 11/2023 is 44,570 to 127,480. The Excise Sub Inspector age is 18 to 30, not 21 to 30. And the upper age of 44 exists only for the 2025 teacher recruitment, not for APPSC.

No exam date exists. The notification is due on 15 October 2026 and the exam date comes with it or after it.
The 2018 cycle's Mains valuation was, in March 2024, and that case continues. The 2024 to 2025 cycle finished with a final list on 30 January 2026.
Not for APPSC. 44 applies to the 2025 teacher recruitment under G.O.Ms.No.14. The 15 September 2026 notification will state the operative age order.
